May 19, 2005, the American Red Cross and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) signed an Alliance agreement geared towards preparing employers and their employees to respond to disasters, life-threatening injuries and other emergencies. Through this agreement, the Red Cross and OSHA will provide information, guidance and access to training resources on health and safety topics including emergency preparedness, disease prevention and first aid in the workplace.
